First, the Geek Husband What Rules is recovering from his emergency tooth extraction last week, and tomorrow he goes in to check and see how it’s healing. I knew it was bad when he bypassed cranky straight into pathetic. In 24 years of marriage I have only seen that once before. So it was a little scary.
According to my migraine tracking software, I have managed to go one whole week without a migraine for the first time in about 6 months. So, go me, apparently ALL THE THINGS are working: limiting screen time, blue light filters everywhere, vitamin supplements, new glasses prescription.
Sadly that last one means that all of the super cute reading glasses I had accumulated are no longer strong enough with the new contacts. sigh. Back to the drawing board.
I’m actually feeling well enough that I want to start working out again. And I think I can. The thought no longer just makes me want to cry.
I caved and bought some stuff from ThinkGeek’s Cyber Monday sale.
I also caved and bought two more pairs of ridiculous German tights on their 40% off sale.
The Kickstarter for Orun, which I backed, funded. I am so proud of them!
Currently I’m waiting for 6 or 7 Kickstarters to deliver. These include the Goetia Demon Coins, Snarky Pins and Paleozoic Pals. The Goetia Kickstarter includes Rings of the Seal of Solomon as a stretch goal and I am stupidly excited about that.
Currently, I’m still updating Nothing Nice Comes Out of my Head. Book One’s rough draft is done, and the second draft is what’s being published on Patreon. After that I’ll be having someone who isn’t me edit it, and starting on draft 3. Book Two’s rough draft is nearly done and will be published on the Patreon after Book One’s second draft is done.
We had a board game and booze party the Saturday after Friendsgiving, and played Bang!, 7 Wonders (All hail Helikarnassos!) and Dominion. That last one led to the discovery that we are three expansions behind. An order was placed.
I am still looking for an MMO to replace Marvel Heroes. Nothing has quite captured my interest like MH had. Secret World Legends is pretty good, and I just got a new(er) machine that should be able to run it better. Maybe I’ll give that another shot. The GHWR also has a new (to him) machine that he can play Rome Total War on. I am never going to see him again.
So, things are going ok right now. I’m still stepped back from SF/F conventions for the time being. I’m still working on Guns and Glamour. As I said a few posts back, the Pixie-Goblin Gang War was a huge success. Or “success” depending on how you look at it.
Things are going ok. I still may be a little sporadic as to when you get the two posts a week, but you will still be getting two posts a week. Thanks for bearing with me.
