Geek Girls Rule! #307 – Cosplayers of Color at Geek Girl Con!
This post is mostly going to be POC. There were far more POC at Geek Girl Con that you usually see at conventions, which makes me happy. I mean, a lot of the conventions I’ve traditionally gone to are really, embarassingly, homogenously, white.
I included group pics here if at least one person in the group was POC. I did not get names from people, unfortunately. But the costumes are incredible!!!!
I think I actually squealed when I saw this costume. Like, out loud. The most amazing Misty Knight cosplay I’ve ever seen!!!Carmen Sandiego!!!! This lady was my first photo of the convention. She rocked that costume!!!
This gentleman was an outstanding Batman!
And what would Batman be without his villains? In particular check out Two-Face.
The Emerald City Geekette (on the right), her boyfriend, and a friend (the artist formerly known as Batman – see above) as Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. Dapper as fuck.
Deadpool and a delightful Lolita, who is probably a character I don’t know about, so if you would like to enlighten me, I will edit later.
