And we have a hand-drawn Dinosaur picture as a thank you note forthcoming. Soon.
The day I gave her the check, the Tiny Geek’s Mom picked the Tiny Geek up from Daycare, and asked on the way home, “So, Tiny Geek, did you still want to go to Dinosaur Camp?”
“MOM! It’s just the most important thing in the WORLD!”
She then told the Tiny Geek that I had gotten you guys to donate the money, and that all we wanted was a dinosaur picture.
“What’s Mickey’s favorite dinosaur?”
“I don’t know.”
“You HAVE to find out! It’s IMPORTANT!!”
We should be the proud owners of a Plesiosaur drawing any day now.
Also, when TG’s Mom called to make sure they still had room for TG in Dinosaur Camp, the staff said that they were very excited, because they remember TG from last year.
You guys rock! You made the summer of a Tiny Geek who needed some joy. Thank you again, from me, the Tiny Geek and the Tiny Geek’s Mom. TG’s Mom, by the way, still can’t believe you all chipped in to do this for the Tiny Geek, but she’s very grateful that you did.
Hey, glad to help out. That money was just sitting there in paypal collecting dust anyhow, and I remember how much I was into dinosaurs when I was a kid too. I hope he has a great time.
He is so excited. I know he’ll have a great time.
Hey!
I just came across your blog, and I think it’s awesome! You are good with the written word! I will definitely be checking back here regularly!
If you are interested, check out my blogs, too! I manage two at the moment:
http://www.aestheticsofthenerdy.wordpress.com deals with finding beauty in the geek, be it video games, comic books, or whatever.
http://www.antimonopoly.wordpress.com is my newer blog, in which I review underground board games and give my two cents on them.
Great job! Keep up the good work!
