I hope you’re all having a good day, with good food, good friends and good gaming.

Mr. Geek Girl What Rules is upstairs making a turkey with all the trimmings.  We have a few friends coming over for dinner, and a couple more coming over later for board games and drinking.

This last week has given us a lot to be thankful for.  Lotus, our 16 year old black kitty, nearly died this last weekend, but has since rallied with a lot of love, drugs and gooshy food.  I am not above exploiting her former stray cat instincts and feeding her in front of other cats to make her eat more.  And Wash, the surviving of the two hedgehogs I rescued earlier this year, has cancer.  However, he has also been enrolled in clinical trials of a new veterinary tumor-suppressing drug.  So, who knows?  Now I just need to get him to eat.

I’m thankful for all of you who read this, and disseminate it.  I’m thankful that I have a circle of friends who get me in ways my family never could.  And I’m thankful to have found the perfect husband for me.  Seriously, I doubt anyone else could EVER put up with either of us.  Between chasing each other around the house with bodily fluids and the constant sniping we do at each other, it’s a good thing we decided to inflict each other on each other instead of innocent bystanders.
